Patrick H. Drewry

Patrick Henry Drewry (May 24, 1875 – December 21, 1947) was a U.S. Representative from Virginia.
==Biography==

Born in Petersburg, Virginia, Drewry first attended several local public schools, Petersburg High School, and McCabe's University School. He then went on to pursue his studies at Randolph-Macon College, in Ashland, Virginia, where he graduated in 1896. Drewry then decided to pursue law at the University of Virginia, and was admitted to the bar in 1901. Commenced his legal practice in Petersburg, Drewry served as director of the Petersburg Savings and American Trust Co.
He served as member of the Senate of Virginia in the years 1912–1920.
He served as delegate to the Democratic State conventions in 1912, 1916, 1920, and 1924.
He served as delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1916.
He served as chairman of the Economy and Efficiency Commission of Virginia in 1916–1918.
He served as chairman of the State auditing committee in 1916–1920.
He served as chairman of the State advisory board in 1919.
He served as member of the Democratic National Congressional Committee in 1923–1927.
He served as member of the Board of Visitors to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1925.
Drewry was elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-sixth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Walter A. Watson.
He was reelected to the Sixty-seventh and to the thirteen succeeding Congresses and served from April 27, 1920, until his death in Petersburg, Virginia, December 21, 1947.
He was interred in Blandford Cemetery.
